First of all, the color is beautiful. And above all, the viewpoint that found this picture is amazing. Normally, this scene is shot with a ninja reflector or the like to remove the reflections inside, but by deliberately including the interior without using it, I was able to express the outside at the same time. You said you aimed for an early morning, and that's a good point. You can see Mt. Fuji, and there are no support vehicles around the Airbus A350.
Charlie Furusho
The reflected interior ceiling light is attractive, and the interior and exterior are well represented. It's impossible to capture the interior and exterior in good condition unless it's this time of day, and the terminal and snow-capped Mt. I often use this place, but I've never taken a picture from this point of view because I was only interested in the fuselage outside the glass. In that sense, it is a work that I learned a lot from.

This is amazing. i used to shoot here a lot in this rainy condition. First of all, I would like to commend you for that. In Haneda, it is difficult to get vapor on a rainy day, so it is expressed. And it stands out precisely because the background has fallen dark. After all, it is amazing that I went to take pictures of the Boeing 747, which would only come by one flight at Haneda, at this timing. There is a comment from the author on the application sheet that says, "I caught a cold in the pouring rain." I want that kind of courage too.
Charlie Furusho
It's an amazing scene, and it's the author's comment that allowed me to take a picture of the 4th shot after various conditions overlapped. Moreover, there is a story after he caught a cold because he was caught in the rain. A super-telephoto lens is used, and the shooting point is a short distance from Parking. Such a background and the calculation and passion of the author were conveyed from the work.

This is so fresh. You don't know if you don't hear Haneda, but you can tell it's Haneda by taking a picture with the Tokyo Gate Bridge. And the feeling of this pale color is very good. By including the plants of the sea in the foreground, this work is tightened. The airplane is far away and small, and it is an image-like picture, but I think it is a work with a great impact.
Charlie Furusho
It is a wonderful piece not only from the perspective of an airplane but also from the perspective of a "photo work". Picture making, color tone, and screen composition. If the fuselage is not a large one, the plane will be too small for this scene and the balance will be bad, but this fuselage would be the best. Even from the judges' point of view, we were surprised by the freshness of the painting, and it is wonderful that the content of life in Tokyo Bay, the city (Tokyo Gate Bridge), and an airplane taking off from Haneda are condensed. You can also feel the perspective using the hazy sea fog.

This is a work that can be said to be a winning strategy. The first New Year's Day of the Tamagawa Sky Bridge, which just opened last year. It is truly amazing that the position is decided after anticipating that there will be so many people coming here to see the first sunrise of the year. I thought it was because I knew Haneda well. It is very unlikely that the Boeing 787 will arrive at this timing after the sun has risen, but it is also wonderful that it captures it perfectly.
Charlie Furusho
There were people around me who went to the Tamagawa Sky Bridge to see the first sunrise of the year and shoot it, but it's a nice idea to shoot it from Haneda Innovation City. Moreover, the position where the aircraft came and the exposure are perfect. It is finished in a piece that conveys the atmosphere of the day.

It is the scene just after sunrise in Haneda in winter. Depending on the angle of the sun, the places where the buildings in the city center shine will change, but at the timing when they shine in the best places, the airplanes of the Star Flyer are involved. I think that this scene captures the unusual timing of southerly winds from Observation Deck, while most of the winters are northerly winds.
Charlie Furusho
It was taken in the morning in winter, but since there is an airplane on runway 16L, it is a day when the south wind is operated from the morning, which is very valuable in winter. At that timing, the morning sun reflected on the Telecom Center, which only shined for a few minutes, and the glare was falling on the runway, which was a favorable condition for takeoff. I give up.

Everyone sees people renting a boat and shooting from Tokyo Bay or the Tama River, but this work captures an airplane taking off from Runway C. Mt. Fuji, the control tower, the aircraft, and the compression effect of the telephoto, I think I often parked the ship at this position and aimed for the airborne (takeoff) scene at the best position. I think that the telephoto compression effect is good in this work.
Charlie Furusho
It's a shot from a ship, and the compression effect makes it look like Mt. Fuji is right behind the control tower. The position where the ship is attached is also wonderful, and the front of the aircraft will be shadowed unless it is taken first thing in the morning, so the timing is also the best.

This is an interesting point of view. As you can see from the gate, all three aircraft are Airbus A350s and have been retouched in a monotone style, but the JAL winglets and Tsurumaru red remain. It's already good.
Charlie Furusho
I'm curious that the nose of the JAL aircraft on the right is not included, but the point is that the colors are controlled by image processing to make the green grass and the red of JAL stand out. The Airbus A350 can also be evaluated for all three aircraft. I think you have a great point of view. The exposure is perfect, and the way the glass looks like a forehead by pulling it back is also wonderful.

This is a great photo. There is only one cleaning staff in the place where there are no people around. Even if you direct, this picture is a picture that can't be taken easily. I capture it with an ultra-wide angle, but the use of light is good. The yellow lines in the center, the yellow above, and the white and blue light are effective, and it is impressive that the person is in it.
Charlie Furusho
It's a wonderful work without any complaints. Curves are expressed with glass and lighting with left-right symmetry. Place the person you are cleaning in the center so you can feel the movement. Hats off to the well-thought-out picture-making in the best conditions with no one standing out. I think it's a piece that was completed by skilfully manipulating the ultra-wide-angle lens, which is difficult to use, and slightly lowering the white balance to bring out the blue color.

In 1981, the camera is Canon AE-1. I also bought an A-1 in 1980 and took pictures from the Haneda Observation Deck. I have been shooting this kind of scene since 1973, and it reminds me of the Showa era. I think this is a good photo that captures the atmosphere of the time, not only in the plane itself, but also in the surrounding support vehicles, power source vehicles, fuel vehicles, towing cars, ramps, and more.
Charlie Furusho
The situation at that time is revived. I used to shoot YS11 of Japan Short Range Airlines here, but I couldn't shoot Mohawk B727. Red & green TDA aircraft in the background, hangar. All of them are nostalgic. It is said that the negative film was digitized, but the print is also beautiful. I think that a casual piece is now very valuable.

It's a 100-point perfect work of panning shots at Haneda Airport. There are pins in the front and back, and it looks easy when landing, but in fact, the pilot hits the brakes after landing, so the movement is off, but it's wonderful to stop there. And especially on rainy days. It also expresses the spray of water sprayed back by the rain, and the color is also very beautiful. It is a photo that can be said to be a model for panning.

It is one that seems to be taken but cannot be taken. Unless it's this time of the year in winter, the sea doesn't shine, and the reflection below the body doesn't show up. In addition, the visibility is good and the composition is stable with the position of the fuselage and the horizontal line at the position of the golden section. The color would be perfect too.

Winter photo of Haneda Airport. We had so much snow last year. In the past, snow scenes were rare at Haneda Airport, but this photo is like a snow country. I think I often took pictures on Observation Deck in such a situation. Boeing 787 with the new Air France logo. I think it's good that the blue and red of the aircraft can be expressed well.
Charlie Furusho
It would have been nice if the plane was too full for framing, so it would have been nice to pull back a bit to show the look of the Observation Deck. It captures a beautiful scene.
General comment

This year we received more applications than last year. After more than 4 hours of judging with Mr. Charlie Furusho, this year's winners were decided. This time, I was also informed that the works from Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the surrounding area are profound. I could relate to the joy of making pictures in Haneda, which boasts the largest traffic in Japan. Airplane photographs are simple movements such as take-off, landing, parking and taxiing, but infinity is created by incorporating the once-in-a-lifetime sky, light, and color. I was able to hear that in many works. I am very happy that the area around Haneda is evolving day by day and there are more new shooting points. It's been 50 years since I started taking my camera to Haneda, and I still discover new things every time I go. Please enjoy Haneda's paintings in search of further paintings. Thank you for all the applications.
Charlie Furusho
In 2023, the aviation industry has gradually regained its vitality. There were so many entries, and I was able to feel the trial and error of the entries and the hardships and passion of the filming process. We received submissions of works from the new landmark of the Tamagawa Sky Bridge and photographs of the Tamagawa Sky Bridge, and we were able to see a scene from the new Haneda Airport. Of the winning works, the most eye-catching are those that are “dramatic and convey the atmosphere at the time of shooting.” From now on, we can expect the re-opening of Terminal 2 flights, and we will be able to take a picture of the new Haneda Airport. I also go to Haneda every week to shoot, and I would like to aim for an attractive shot with everyone. Thank you for your application.
